Deformable, transparent, high?performance, <scp>room?temperature</scp> oxygen sensors based on <scp>ion?conductive</scp> , <scp>environment?tolerant,</scp> and green organohydrogels

We present green organohydrogel-based stretchable (up to 700% strain), transparent, and room-temperature O2 sensors with impressive performance, including drying freezing tolerances, high sensitivity, broad detection range (100 ppm-100%), long-term stability, low theoretical limit (0.585 ppm), linearity, the capability real-time monitor human respiration by directly attaching on skin. A facile solvent replacement approach is employed partially exchange water natural edible xylitol/sorbitol molecules, generating stable, tough organohydrogels. Compared pristine hydrogel counterpart, feature higher prolonged life time (140 days) ability work over a wide of temperatures (?38 65°C). The sensing mechanism elucidated investigating redox reactions occurred at electrode-hydrogel interface. This develops strategy fabricate stretchable, high-performance sensor using stable organohydrogels as novel transducing materials for practical wearable applications.
